As you can tell from prior years, I LOVE Halloween. Each year I have a party at my apartment and make sure the decorations are on point along with the food and sangria. We had some great costumes this year, unfortunatly we only got one group shot and it is a bit grainy. Sorry in advance for the bad quality but I have to share the great ideas and DIYs my friends and family came up with. As for food, this year’s big hit were mummy jalapeno poppers. They turned out SO freakin cute and I will definitely be making them again. They look like a lot of work, but it’s not as bad as you would think. Once they were done, it was so worth it! This recipe is all over Pintrest if you are interested, but basically you make the jalapeno poppers, roll out Pillsbury Crescent rolls and cut them into strips, then wrap your peppers to look like mummies. Throw on some candy eyes (I found them at Michaels) and brush with an egg wash to brown the crescent rolls. They taste as good as they look too!
Also of note, It was our dog Hansie’s first Halloween, I made him a DIY “Ty” Beanie Baby costume… which he loved.
Here are some photos from our party! Thanks to all my friends and family who came, it was so much fun!
